JOHN KELMAN
Managing Editor of AllAboutJazz.com – the internet’s largest jazz site, John has published over 2,000 articles at AAJ, as well as contributing features to Downbeat and Oxford American magazines. He also written liner notes for artists including Bill Bruford, Dave Liebman and Marc Copland; had photos published in liner notes to recordings by Terje Rypdal and Tomasz Stańko and contributed chapters to two books on the German ECM label: Horizons Touched: The Music of ECM (Granta, 2007) and Die Blaue Klang (Wolke Verlag, 2010).

THIERRY QUÉNUM
Member of the Académie du Jazz in France, Thierry Quenum has been a freelance writer in the French and International media since 1987, contributing articles to various media including Jazz Magazine / Jazzman, TGV Magazine, Piano Magazine, Jazzit, Jazz.com. He also conducts lectures on “The Evolution of Jazz in Europe” and has contributed liner notes for various Artists on labels such as Universal Jazz, Challenge Records and Enja Records.

JAN GRANLIE
Trained as a Journalist and Graphic Designer, Jan, who has been working as a freelancer for Norway’s only and most important Jazz media source – the Norwegian Jazz Magazine, Jazznytt, for the last 30 years and was appointed it’s Editor in Chief in 2002. Besides being a member of the International Jazz Journalist Association, he is also a member of Brigate Rudi, IFF and the highly recommended Norwegian jazz organization, Trøffelsvinordenen.

 

LUCA VITALI
A Freelance writer for several music magazines and newspapers, Luca writes not only about jazz but “other sounds” for the print media – Giornale della Musica, Il Sole 24Ore, In Sound and Mondomix. He hosts his own radio program in Radio Città del Capo and contributes to the website italia.allaboutjazz.com. Luca has also collaborated with Italian festivals, where he was responsible for taking artistic decisions, as well as the organization and presence for conferences and meetings.

ATSUKO YASHIMA
A senior producer of NHK Enterprises, Atsuko Yashima has been the Producer of Japan’s largest jazz Festival – the Tokyo Jazz Festival since its launch in 2002, mainly in charge of planning, booking and artistic direction of the event. She has also produced various international cultural events represented by Tokyo Jazz Festival, Festival France Glamour, International Robot Contest, Marche de Noel de Strasbourg in Tokyo, and many more as well as focusing on creating international exchange projects introducing music from various countries working with the local Japanese community.
