For Resident DJ G, music has always been an obsession. G made his debut in Kuala Lumpur at the age of 19 playing deep soulful house music in Kuala Lumpur and over the years, his vivacious, organic musical styled performances at the console has rocked clubs/bars and events from Penang to Singapore. From his deep house, dance music roots, G has developed and expanded his musical versatility to include other various forms of music to his spinning library of songs and sounds.

As one quarter of the Twilight Actiongirl deejay collection, DJ Ribut takes a step out of the indie/electro scene and indulges his growing passion of mixing new flavours out of vintage grooves at the Penang Island Jazz Festival 2011. Most often, he is willing to get his hands dirty with the dusty crate-digging and obscure finds at flea markets worldwide. Through his adventures in jazz, rare groove, psych folk, Afrobeat, soundtracks and funk soul genres, you will witness an energetic and joyful mix of various styles and tunes.

Think some vintage accidental dance music from twice around the pear-shaped planet! Anything and everything from Blue Note, Impulse!, Morricone, Asian funk, Middle Eastern boogaloo, Brazilika and a cellarful of soul. Dig a little deeper and make your mind up. Best of all, DJ Ribut knows some good places to start.
