The 6th Edition of The Penang Island Jazz Festival, held over a 4-day period from the 3rd – 6th of December 2009, was celebrated with a number of musical activities and great performances by groups from many parts of the world.
From the Young Talent Jazz Competition to the “An Evening With” performance at G Hotel to the Jazz With A Heart” Charity Dinner, Workshops held in 2 locations, the musical journey of the Festival also took Festival goers to 3 Fringe Stages at Bayview Beach Resort, Hard Rock Hotel and G Hotel and through Jazz exhibitions, a Forum, Jazz jam Sessions and the fantastic performances at it’s “Jazz By The Beach” Stage!
Once again, The Festival Atmosphere!was Great and The Music – Fantastic!

The 6th Edition of the Festival saw a gradual growth in participation of more than 100 performers from 12 countries in all its’ activities and over 4,000 audience attendance from all over Malaysia and countries from around the Region.
Next Year’s 7th Edition of The Festival will be held from the 2nd to 5th of December 2010. SEE YOU THERE!!
